Artana, in the local Kefalonian dialect, refers to a flower bed adorned with flowers, aromatic plants, and herbs. This name reflects the wine’s origin and the natural beauty of the region.
This exceptional dry Muscat is cultivated on terraces, using organic and gentle methods, on the sandy clay slopes of Angona. These vineyards are located within the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) zone, ensuring the authenticity and quality of the wine.
Artana distinguishes itself with a rich taste and naturally high acidity. These characteristics combine to create a wine with an extremely intense and memorable character, making it a standout choice for wine enthusiasts seeking something truly distinctive. Flavours and aromas of lemon, pear, peach and orange blossom dictate the palate.
Pair with a range of light dishes, including seafood, particularly shrimp and shellfish, and salads with fresh or cooked vegetables, such as asparagus or avocado. It's also a good match for light poultry and chicken dishes, including roasted chicken salads and can complement light spicy asian cuisine like stir-fries, as its aromatics and low sweetness can handle the heat. A dry Muscat is an excellent aperitif to start a meal, whetting the appetite without overpowering the palate.
